Magazine of Awam Culture: Transition to a Semi-Annual Publication

17 May 2026
Within the ongoing efforts of the Jadal Center for Peace to strengthen the cultural and intellectual landscape in Yemen, a decision has been made to transition Awam Cultural Magazine from quarterly to semi-annual publication. This decision follows a comprehensive assessment of the production capacity of the volunteer team behind the magazine, whose members dedicate themselves to organizing content, editing, research, and producing cultural and intellectual materials entirely on a voluntary basis. The shift to a semi-annual schedule provides the team with sufficient time to thoroughly develop selected topics, delivering richer cultural files and research articles, thereby enhancing the quality of the content presented to readers and elevating the intellectual experience of each issue. This decision represents a strategic step aimed at creating a broader space for the team to produce integrated, coherent, and meaningful content that reflects the Center’s vision in promoting dialogue and peace, with particular attention to contemporary issues of significance to Yemeni society. The change also reflects the Center’s recognition of the practical challenges associated with the team’s voluntary nature, allowing for more effective management of time and resources, and ensuring the magazine’s continued regular and professional delivery without compromising the quality of research and editorial work. Through this transition, the Jadal Center for Peace seeks to enrich the magazine and enable it to function as a comprehensive intellectual platform that supports critical discussion, cultural analysis, and the cultivation of intellectual awareness, while fostering dialogue among readers and scholars alike. The Center reaffirms its commitment to producing distinguished content that reflects Yemeni cultural identity and provides a space for creative and intellectual exploration, rendering each issue a fully integrated and impactful contribution to the local and international cultural landscape.
